At APK Designs we approach the design of each office individually and with great care and consideration. Listening to you and your team leaders carefully during the initial meetings, will help us develop and execute a design which best meets your vision and requirements. We are not just about "putting together" an office floor. We strive to understand and thus develop an office design, which best communicates your brand image while we pay close attention to improving your staff's productivity. Open Floor Plans vs. Offices - Recent studies have shown that the theory of having a completely open floor plan does not improve productivity and does not cultivate cooperation and team building, after all. The truth of the matter is if you are sitting on a large open floor, you will more than likely have a difficult time staying entirely focused on the task at hand. For example, it is well known by now that employees on open floor plans try to remain focused by using noise reduction equipment, such as headphones. This does not build teamwork or improve productivity. There is a happy medium to laying out your floor properly and it is based on your type of business, as well as your various departments and their functions. We work closely with you and your team leaders to understand the day-to-day operations and propose the best floor plan possible under the circumstances, while putting special emphasis on two key areas, lighting design (we try to utilize daylight whenever possible) and acoustics. Productivity - The recipe to achieving good productivity results is really simple. First and foremost employees want to feel appreciated. Show your employees your appreciation by providing comfortable, functional, well-lit and beautifully designed workspaces. Also, try to budget for a break room or a lounge for them to decompress before returning back to work after their break. At APK Designs we strive to find the right comfortable and durable finish materials for your spaces, we inspire with the use of lively color palettes and we surprise with interesting accent walls and decor. So whether you need to renovate your existing office space or are moving into a new space, APK Designs is ready to help you bring your vision to life by creating great working spaces while supporting your company's philosophy and brand image. Contact us today for a consultation. We'd love to hear from you!
